A stunning weathered oak slice table by Dorset designer and maker Alex Brooks Furniture.
Alex was offered this beautiful local, wind-fallen oak. The ravages of time have weathered the softer, timber leaving the rock hard centre. The sides have been charred to frame the top. The rings show the stresses and strains of the tree's entire life - laid out before you.
The iron work was hand forged to follow the form all the way to the floor.
Black resin has been used for structure and aesthetics.
