Sou'-Sou'-West Contemporary Arts Gallery

Sou'-Sou'-West Gallery

Is a community-based enterprise of artists, makers and arts organisations from the South West and part of Lyme Bay Arts CIC.

It runs two permanent exhibition venues and a gallery shop on the Symondsbury Estate in Dorset, organises outreach showcases, generates promotion in the media, and provides its supporters with educational and social events such as talks, workshops, demonstrations and mentoring.

Journeys Open Call

We invite you to be inspired by the theme of "Journeys" for our upcoming Open Exhibition in our Little Gallery.You may have been on a journey by land, sea or air and been inspired by the scenery, people or places along the way. Or you may wish to interpret a personal journey you have experienced. Alternatively you may wish to present your submission pieces as a journey in themselves with development or a common link from first to last.

CQ West Unfolding Stories 6

Saturday 28th September to Sunday 13th October

This latest exhibition by the established textile art group will be a showcase for recent artwork from its members. The seventeen artists taking part produce work across several textile disciplines. Each member of the group develops their own creative practice and follows their individual artistic story. On show will be exhibits of quilt making, printmaking, beautiful handmade felt images, experimental natural dyeing and hand stitched and embroidered pieces.
