Ever wondered what to do with that bouquet of flowers after it has begun to go over? Before you throw them onto the compost, why not make a phytogram within them? Using a home-made, eco-friendly developer and vintage photographic paper, you will learn how to make a permanent, unique image using the petals, leaves and stems of virtually any plant. If there isn’t a wilting posy to hand then it’s also possible to use deadheads or flowers from problem plants - bindweed works wonderfully!
This workshop covers:
- Selection of plant material
- Mixing a developer using household ingredients
- Preparing the image
- Exposing the image
- Fixing and washing
At the end of the session you will take away at least one image - a permanent memory of a fleeting beauty.
All materials provided.
