Exhibition Entry Terms & Conditions



 Sou’-Sou’-West Contemporary Art Gallery Symondsbury is the  trading name on behalf of Lyme Bay Arts CIC,  a Company Limited by Guarantee registered in England and Wales. Company No 11678091. 


  1. The Bring Art to Life Exhibition is open to artists resident in the UK only
  2. All works must be for sale and delivered to the gallery by the Sunday 1st November 2020.
  3. There is no limit on size of work, but if anything is over 120cm sq you must inform us.

  1. All works will be stored in line with Covid-19 Government Guidelines.  Artists must provide adequate

            packaging for their work.

  1. All works must be an original creation by the artist. 
  2. It is the artist's responsibility to ensure their work is insured if required. The gallery is 

    insured for Public Liability.

  1. Work will be professionally handled and curated with final decisions made by the curators.
  2. Fee (includes 2 pieces of work) 

     Lyme Bay Arts Associates: £25   Non Associates: £30    Commission on all sales is 35%

Titles, medium and prices of works must be listed on the online Registration Form .

Activity Dates:  

Open for Entries -  Monday 21st September 

Deadline for entry and payment -  Monday 26th October 

Delivery of work - 27th October  (or by arrangement with the gallery)

Hanging exhibition - 3rd /4th November 2020

Exhibition opens - Thursday 5th November  

                                    Exhibition closes - Monday 23rd November 

                                    Collection of work  to be arranged with individual artists 


Sales made through the Exhibition are sold between the Sou’-Sou”-West Gallery, on behalf of Lyme Bay Arts CIC, and the buyer. Lyme Bay Arts CIC is not registered for VAT so no VAT will be charged. A commission of 35% will  be charged  on the price paid for the work. Any sale effected by the Exhibition Organisers will have priority over a sale effected by the artist. The signing of the Registration Form is to be taken as the unreserved acceptance of the entire contents of  these conditions and those on the Schedule by the signatory. The Curator reserves the right to take down any pictures sold and replace them with other  works.  

All artists must read and acknowledge the Rules and Conditions of Entry before submitting work.   


All works of art must be for sale. The price of the works stated on the Registration Form should include a commission of 35%. PLEASE NOTE: Artists are completely responsible for the correct pricing of their work. They should check their Registration Form in advance to make sure prices are accurate. Works will be sold at the prices listed on your Registration Form.. 


Copyright of all works other than commissioned work, remains the property of the artist. Any enquiries for copyright will be referred to the artist. 


Artists accept and agree that all works in the exhibition may be reproduced for:  press, publicity, promotion and advertising of Sou’-Sou’-West and Lyme Bay Arts CIC


The Exhibition Organisers will not be liable for any loss or damage caused to works during the transportation of work. Artists are advised to insure their own works if required. The exhibition carries no alternate insurance. 


Sou’-Sou’-West and Lyme Bay Arts CIC hold personal data provided by entrants for the exhibition. This information will be used solely in conjunction with your entry to ‘Bring Art to Life Open’. In  registering, artists agree that if selected they will be added to the mailing lists of Sou’-Sou’-West and Lyme Bay Arts CIC, from which it is possible to unsubscribe at any time.


This will be at the discretion of the curator, it is our aim to hang all works submitted . 

The Curators decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
