A solo exhibition of paintings by Lin Cudlipp
Lin is an artist living and inspired by the beautiful and varied geology of the southwest coast and landscape. She is drawn to the wild open spaces, gazing out to the unknown, to lost horizons sketching in the vast landscapes, observing but also more importantly experiencing and feeling
colours, weather and light, embedding moments to memory.
Lin’s process of painting is inituitive, totally immersive, an attempt to harness fleeting moments of ever changing universal energy, a coastline veiled by a sudden mist, a cloud bursting with bleaching sunlight, murmuring wavelets tumbling gently on the shore, moments we all connect to.
Lin applies paint to canvas to create these atmospheric paintings and imbue them with this energy, interpreting light, colour and space to engage you, the viewer. They are an invitation to gaze, to contemplate and connect with your own experiences, a space to breathe, a moment!
