Ros Hipkiss solo
Ros Hipkiss has been a true supporter and invaluable volunteer at SSW for many years. We wish her every happiness as she moves north and celebrate with a solo retrospective.

For now I live and work in Dorset and paint the landscape of the Jurassic Coast in which I live. “I should paint my own places best”. John Constable
This selection of paintings spans some twelve years or more of working mainly in oil, trying to capture the changing landscape, its colours and shapes which are created by the light at the time of day, the season, the climate and the movement of the coast.
I usually work a series on a theme, and over the years, I have been able to exhibit here at Sou’-Sou’-West, and various exhibitions of the Art Societies of Bridport and of Lyme Regis and the Chideock Art Group, as well as Dorset Open Studios. Consequently many of the series pieces have been sold. Some explanations have been provided to indicate the themes in which the work belongs, as well as the inspiration and intention.
